The scalloped neck of this vintage enamelware pitcher is both rare and elegantly minimal. Developed in the late 19th century, enamelware offered a durable and easy-to-clean alternative to fragile ceramics. Made from thin metal and coated with a colored enamel glaze, these pieces were often collected during wartime scrap drives, making older examples increasingly rare. By the mid-20th century, manufacturing improved with lighter materials. This lovely pitcher features a light grey pattern and is in excellent vintage condition with no dents and minimal wear.
